Susanna della Sala, born in Italy in 1987, is an artist, author and filmmaker. She graduated from Politecnico of Milan and from the Italian national film school Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia of Rome. She wrote, directed and produced her first fantasy shortfilm The Fish Doctor based on her homonymous illustrated children’s book. The short, which stars Giorgio Cantarini from La Vita è Bella, won best foreign shortfilm at the Lady Filmmakers Festival in Los Angeles and participated in many international film festivals. She also wrote and directed the shortfilm Wasteplanet produced by COORPI, a dance film producing company based in Turin. She’s now working on the feature documentary Last Stop Before Chocolate Mountain produced by the renowned company DOCLAB. She wrote, co-directed and performed in the experimental narrative film Neolovismo, together with the American director Mike Bruce. Her first art show took place at the unconventional art festival Bombay Beach Biennale in April 2019.
